House Of Hope York PA

Anonymous Donor
House of Hope York PA opened its doors in 2012 as a residential home that brings hope, healing and restoration to hurting teenage girls and their families. House of Hope provides counseling, academic education, life skills education and spiritual guidance which helps the girls re-enter society as God-assured, purpose-driven individuals able to cope with the challenges and pressures of everyday life. By bringing the girls into the residential program and removing them from their environment, House of Hope can intervene before the girls head down the path of a desolate and self-destructive life. House of Hope empowers the girls in the program with the tools they need to break free from the vicious cycles of domestic abuse, drug addiction, and self-harm. The on-site school, Hope Academy, is registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and provides the teens with a formal education through a self-paced curriculum designed to meet their performance levels. House of Hope is also unique in that it combines both the teen and the parents in the healing process. The programming focuses on the entire family unit to combat community issues that stem from the breakdown of the family unit and the impact of emotionally, spiritually, physically and socially unhealthy adults. House of Hope helps identify and address the issues that are keeping the family from having a healthy environment. Parents are required to be involved in the counseling programs, parenting classes, and receive spiritual guidance as well. The families are equipped to be resilient and how to cope with emotional struggles. The residential home, office and school are located in Glen Rock, PA. House of Hope recently opened a new counseling office in Jacobus and launched an Outpatient Program that provides counseling to anyone in need. Additionally, plans are in the works to expand and open a residential home for boys. At House of Hope our mission is to change lives … one teen at time!
